Color and Size Development for B2B Orders
Tervoniq supports color and size customization for activewear brands, apparel importers, wholesalers, distributors and private-label buyers. These details are confirmed before bulk production because fabric color, garment measurements and size grading directly affect product appearance, fit, MOQ and delivery planning.
Development can begin with an existing leggings style, buyer-supplied size chart, tech pack, drawing or physical reference sample. We review the required product category, fabric, colors, size range, waistband, inseam, pockets and order quantity before confirming the sampling route.
Color Selection and Pantone Matching
Buyers may choose from available fabric colors or request custom dyeing based on Pantone references. Available colors usually provide a more practical MOQ and shorter sampling schedule. Custom colors require separate color matching and approval and may carry a higher material minimum.
Color should be reviewed on the actual selected fabric. Nylon/spandex, polyester/spandex, cotton blends, brushed fleece and PU-coated materials can display the same color reference differently because of fiber content, surface texture and finish.
A physical color swatch is more reliable than a screen image. Where custom dyeing is required, the approved color reference should be retained for sample and bulk comparison. Material specifications should first be confirmed through fabric and material selection.
Buyer Size Charts and Measurement Requirements
We can work from a buyer’s measurement chart or modify an existing Tervoniq style. The specification should identify the base size, full size range, measurement method and acceptable tolerances.
Common measurement points include:
- Waist
- Hip
- Front and back rise
- Total length
- Inseam
- Thigh
- Leg opening
- Waistband height
- Pocket position and dimensions
- Maternity belly-panel height, where applicable
Measurements should be reviewed together with the selected fabric. A change in GSM, stretch or recovery can affect finished dimensions and fit even when the same paper pattern is used.
Size Grading and Garment Construction
Size grading should maintain the intended proportions across the complete range. Waistband height, rise, pocket position, gusset and inseam should not be increased mechanically without considering the garment structure.
Sports leggings, pocket leggings, legging shorts and maternity leggings have different grading requirements. Pocket dimensions must remain functional across sizes, while maternity panels require suitable stretch allowance and coverage. Legging shorts also require careful control of inseam and leg opening.
These construction details are reviewed as part of custom leggings development rather than treated as color or label changes only.
Sample Measurement and Approval
The first sample is measured against the approved size chart and checked for waist, hip, rise, length, waistband, pocket and other specified points. Stretch, recovery and appearance are also reviewed where applicable.
If corrections are required, each change should be recorded clearly in the revised specification. This prevents outdated measurements or informal comments from entering bulk production.
Available samples normally require around 3–5 days. Modified or private-label samples are generally around 7–12 days, while deeper developments may take around 10–15 days. The full approval sequence is explained on our sample development page.
MOQ and Bulk Production Control
Selected existing styles and available colors commonly start around 300–500 pieces per style and color. Customized or private-label programs are generally around 500–1,000 pieces. Custom-dyed fabrics may require 1,000 pieces or more depending on the material.
Standard bulk production is usually around 25–35 days after sample and order approval. Custom colors, wider size ranges or more complex construction may extend production to around 35–45 days.
